I just received mine and it works fantastic. I had a smaller Kitchen Aid which is an superb product also, but this had more capacity and was on sale, so why not? It comes with a manual and a dvd and lots of accessories. It is sturdy, effective, and well-made. I produced cole slaw for the first use, and it worked like a charm and cleanup was easy.
I bought this item to speed-up the dinner process, especially salads. It has worked extremely well. The greatest problem was in learning how to assemble the program; that is, learning which direction every piece turns to snap into place. That was a really minor inconvenience that was eliminated after utilizing the device a couple of times. (It is explained in the instructions, but who likes to evaluation instructions every time.) As they say, practice makes ideal.
