Best Buy Cuisinart CBT-500FP SmartPower Premier Duet Blender/Food Processor, Stainless Steel On Sale, Reviews It's a powerful machine, a bit noisy because of the energy but not an excessive amount of, and the pour spout is terrible. The food processor attachment appears a little wobbly, but functions fine. Overall I am very happy with it. I required some thing powerful and also the issues it has are small inconveniences. I would recommend it.
Does not get a whole lot of use though. The main complaint is concerning the blender jar pour spout. What an inefficient design! Liquids just spill over the edge then drip down the side of the jar when up righted. Also, the inside ridges that go from top to bottom which assist to knock the food around are poorly placed. You will find four, one in the middle of every side.
My search continues for a functional but appealing blender. I didn't make it so far as to assess the functionality of this fine machine, because I couldn't get past the "fake metal". The photo is convincing, but the big handle and cuff on the pitcher is really silver plastic pretending to be metal. This appears to be the blender trend nowadays. But in Cuisinart's defense, it nearly got it.
So a lot crap has gotten under the metal component that surrounds the glass it looks terrible. I can't take the metal surrounding off to clean it either. So, that's a large problem. It looks very dirty at this point. But, I'm having a tough time giving it up simply because it was expensive, and it does the job. The food Processor part functions fantastic too.
